Vehicle intelligence · United States

Vehicle history made clearer before the purchase decision.

CarReveal is MARVEX’s US vehicle-history product. It organizes an account, report-credit, VIN lookup, report delivery, and report-history experience around one practical question: what should a buyer understand before moving forward?

United States

Built to reduce uncertainty—not to add another wall of raw records.

Vehicle information can arrive from multiple records and data sources. CarReveal is designed to present the resulting report in a structured, readable flow, preserve completed reports for the account owner, and make the commercial journey from credit purchase to report access traceable.

CarReveal

What the product experience covers

01

VIN-first lookup

The report journey starts from a vehicle identification number and keeps the searched vehicle tied to the resulting account activity.

02

Credit-based access

Report credits separate payment from later report use, allowing an available balance to remain on the customer account until a report is requested.

03

Report history

Completed reports can be associated with their owner so a returning customer can reopen previously delivered results.

04

Clear delivery states

Payment, available credit, provider processing, report generation, storage, and download are treated as distinct states instead of one ambiguous step.

05

Customer support path

Product-specific support and security channels give customers a direct route for account, delivery, and responsible-disclosure questions.

06

Responsive access

The public experience is designed for modern desktop and mobile browsers without requiring specialist software.

Architecture

A separated service architecture for a commercial report workflow.

The public interface, customer identity, payment events, credit ledger, report-provider adapter, report storage, and delivery path are kept as distinct responsibilities. This makes failures easier to contain and makes report access easier to audit.

1

Application layer

A typed web application communicates with dedicated API services instead of embedding provider or payment credentials in the browser.

2

Transactional records

Structured account, purchase, credit, and report metadata are maintained in a relational data layer with explicit ownership.

3

Provider boundary

External vehicle-data access is isolated behind an adapter so test and production credentials, response validation, retries, and provider errors can be controlled.

4

Private report delivery

Generated report artifacts are stored outside the public application bundle and reopened through owner-authorized delivery paths.

Security

Security follows the complete report lifecycle.

CarReveal is engineered so a successful payment, an available account credit, and a completed report are not treated as interchangeable. Each transition has its own validation and failure behavior.

Account ownership

Report history and stored artifacts are opened through the authenticated customer account rather than public file links.

Credential isolation

Payment and vehicle-data credentials stay server-side, with test and production environments kept separate.

Ledger protection

Credit consumption is designed around idempotent state changes so repeated requests do not silently become repeated charges.

Input and artifact validation

VIN input, provider responses, delivery state, and generated file shape are validated before a result is presented as complete.

US product boundary

The US product’s data, credentials, storage, deployment target, and operational logs are kept separate from MARVEX products serving other markets.

Responsible reporting

Security concerns can be reported privately through [email protected] without placing sensitive customer data in a public channel.

Research & development

What the team continues to improve

CarReveal R&D focuses on the reliability and clarity of the full decision journey—not only on adding more fields to a report.

  1. 01More resilient provider and delivery handling
  2. 02Clearer explanation of report sections and data limitations
  3. 03Stronger prevention of duplicate credit consumption
  4. 04Faster owner-authorized reopening of stored reports
  5. 05A future license-plate-to-VIN capability kept separately gated until its provider contract and quota are verified

Scope and responsibility

Vehicle-history information is decision support. Availability and scope depend on the searched vehicle and authorized data sources; a report is not a mechanical inspection, title guarantee, or substitute for professional due diligence.
